Jonathan Estabrooks
Debut Album!!!
Jonathan Estabrooks is a classically-trained singer from Canada who now lives in New York City. A graduate of The Juilliard School, his diverse career thus far is a testament to his creativity and passion for all styles of music from popular to musical theatre and opera. He has had the great honor of singing for Bill Clinton, UN delegates, at major sporting and launch events and in leading roles in both Opera and Musical Theatre. He has appeared with major orchestras including The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, National Arts Center Orchestra, Israeli Chamber Orchestra and many others.
This 12-track album will including originals and covers of classical pop, folk and classical songs (John Denver, Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder, Gardel, Telson, Sondheim and others). We are excited for these songs to come alive through the richness of sound that only a full orchestra can achieve.'
'To bring this professional quality album to life takes time, talent and funding. I can't do it alone and that's why I'm turning to you through Kickstarter. As a team we are looking to raise $25,000 to $30,000 to cover the cost of hiring a team of 50+ musicians, engineers and producers as well as CD production and promotion.'
We will be working with the Bratislava Radio Orchestra, top Juilliard Jazz musicians, Producer/Arranger Oran Eldor (John Legend/Julie Andrews), Mastering artists (Josh Groban/Michael Buble), and musical collaborations with Jonathan Antoine (Youtube Sensation/Britain's Got Talent/SYCO Label) and Jennifer Thomas (Award-winning classical-crossover pianist and composer).
Lots of great REWARDS so consider your contribution a pre-order! From downloads, signed albums, posters, voice lessons, private concerts and more, you won't be disappointed.

Former SCBC Senior Minister, Everett Goodwin, and the Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board of the ABC/USA have announced the publication of the book “MMBB: A Pioneer in Employee Benefits – The First Hundred Years.” The book, written by Dr. Goodwin and published by Mercer University Press on the occasion of MMBB’s 100th anniversary, notes that several SCBC members have played roles in the leadership and development of MMBB. Some examples are: former MMBB Executive Director M. Forest Ashbrook (1940s and 50s) was a longtime SCBC member. Alden C. Smith, SCBC Trustee and partner in Price Waterhouse & Co., was a MMBB governing board member in the 1960s, and Dene Hurley, SCBC former Diaconate Chair recently concluded service on the Board. SCBC member Nola M. Falcone delivered an address at the MMBB luncheon at the 2001 Biennial of the ABC/USA. Barbara Freiert, former SCBC Treasurer and current Trustee, and Ken Stout, former SCBC Interim Minister, both served MMBB in executive capacities until their recent retirements. Matthew Hoffman, former Organist and Choir Director at SCBC, is currently MMBB’s Director of Services. Authorized in 1911 and chartered in New York in 1913, MMBB has historically provided pensions, death and disability insurance, medical insurance and other professional employee benefits for ABC ministers and missionaries, and has now expanded its mission to provide similar benefits under contract to other denominations. The book is available through MMBB and other commercial channels.

Congratulations. . .to Kukkamari Grondahl, our guest violin soloist on several occasions, on being selected to participate in the Pacific Music Festival for four weeks this summer. The PMF, founded in 1990 by Leonard Bernstein, is an international educational music festival held in Sapporo, Japan. The ‘Pacific’ means ‘peace’ in this context. Members of PMF are selected from around the world through a very competitive audition process. Performances will be held in Sapporo, Tokyo, Shenya and Beijing. We wish Kukka well on her journey and hope that she has a wonderful experience.
