Children & Youth Christian Education
On Sunday mornings, the children gather on the stage in fellowship hall from 9:15AM-9:30AM for a time of reconnecting and sharing about their joys and concerns from the past week. Christian Education takes place immediately afterward from 9:30AM-10:15AM in the education wing. The worship service begins at 10:30AM. We currently offer four children and youth classes: PreK-Grade 1, Elementary, Middle School and High School. All classes are aimed to helping the students to know Christ, live in community together and and impact the world around them.
Our younger classes lead children to connect with the God of the Bible. They will grow to understand a real and relevant God in their everyday lives and not simply as a character in a book. Through the use of scripture reading, craft projects and games, the children are challenged each week to apply the spiritual truths that only God can bring to their lives.
The studies in the Middle School and High School classes encourage the students to go deeper into their spiritual selves and explore what they believe, why they believe it and how to articulate that to others. Recent topics have included 'Following Jesus', 'The Power of Grace', 'Made to Make a Difference' and 'What if God's Plan for Me Stinks?'. In a seemingly increasingly secular world, the students are encouraged to make connections with their peers and others they encounter and hopefully point them to meaningful relationships with Jesus Christ.
