Interim Minister
Reverend Richard Burke is formerly the Pastor of the First Baptist Church in The City of New York (where he pastored for 22 years) and of the First Baptist Church, Bronxville, NY. Most recently Reverend Burke had been serving as the Interim Minister of the First Baptist Church of PennYan, NY, in the Finger Lakes region. Reverend Burke's first Sunday as worship leader was August 8th. During the first two weeks of August, Reverend Burke moved into the Manse and is quickly becoming familiar with church needs.
Organist/Choir Director
David Jutt is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music, New England Conservatory, and the American Institute of Musical Studies, Austria. In addition to SCBC, he serves as a full-time teacher of vocal music at New Rochelle High School in New Rochelle, New York. He lives in Scarsdale with his wife, Susan, and son, Alexander.
Director of Family Ministry
MaryEllen Barbieri is the Director of Family Ministries. MaryEllen has
Bachelor degrees in Music Therapy and Applied Voice from SUNY Fredonia. Prior to becoming Director of Family Ministries, she
worked as volunteer for Scarsdale Community Baptist Church, directing the children's music and Sunday school programs. In her spare time, MaryEllen is a Girl Scout troop leader and teacher at Musical Munchkins . She has lived in Eastchester for 17 years with her husband,Peter and her three children.
Secretary and Administrator
Pat Fredericks is the SCBC Secretary and Administrator. She manages church communications, calendar, correspondence and publications, oversees the schedule and arranges for the many services, repairs and improvements that keep the church functioning smoothly. She is mostly likely to be the person who can provide you with the information you need, or direct you to the right person to help you.
Sexton
Jairo Jimenez is often the first friendly smile those who visit the church encounter. He keeps our facilities sparkling clean, repairs things that break, and working under the direction of Pat Fredericks, makes physical arrangements for meetings, programs and special events. He supervises the church parking lot and directs traffic during busy times or in bad weather. He is regularly assisted by his sister, Gloria.
Nursery School Director
Elaine Ferraro, Ms.Ed., is trained in Early Childhood Education and experienced in her field and is a member of the Westchester Association for the Education of Young Children (WAEYC).
